How did Benedict College or the Career Services Department influence your career or life? Benedict College influenced my life by allowing me to pursue higher education on a full academic scholarship. That opportunity opened doors to leadership, campus organizations, and internships. Many of the opportunities I have received, including my current job at Integer Technologies, are a direct result of the Benedict College Career Fair. I am unsure how many opportunities would have presented themselves to me if I hadn’t made the choice to pursue my undergraduate studies at Benedict College.
What is your advice for currently enrolled students?
Immerse yourself in the campus and the college experience. Get acquainted with your professors and fellow classmates and participate in the many Career Services events. Networking is very important. Someone you may pass every day, or a classmate could provide life-changing information or opportunities for you. Finally, always be yourself because that’s what will make you the perfect fit in your dream job.
