Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is excited to announce year two of our annual DevCon Professional Development Conferences. DevCon increases TMCF’s capacity to identify and develop high-potential HBCU talent. Leveraging an Early Talent (Freshmen & Sophomores) model, DevCon serves as a leadership incubator aimed to equip students with fundamental business skills and professional competencies through leadership development, career readiness, and targeted tech upskilling; while providing a pipeline of diverse talent to corporate hiring managers seeking to advance their DEI goals.
Program Benefits:
- Participate in the DevCon professional development conference in Atlanta, Georgia, June 19-23, 2024 (Travel, Lodging, and Onsite Meals covered by TMCF)
- Curated professional development such as interactive workshops, panel discussions, mock interviews, resume writing tips, and networking with c-suite executives.
- Access to online training and professional development portal.
- Opportunity to receive TMCF Leadership Development Certification.
- Develop as a leader for corporate success.
- Eligible for TMCF scholarship opportunities and other TMCF programs.
Qualifications
- Must Register/attend 3 BC Career Services events and the 2024 Career/Graduate School Fair
- Enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited HBCU throughout the duration of the program.
- Identify as a Freshman or Sophomore for the 2023-2024 academic year (2026 or 2027 graduates)
- Attend a public or private HBCU or HBCC (Historically Black Community College) in South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, or U.S. Virgin Islands
- Maintain good academic standing.
- No disciplinary infractions on academic record.
- Must display leadership potential.
